Parent Consultation

Focal Point takes a family-centered approach to all services we provide. Our services range from consultation and review of IEPs to parent training to create a better balance in your home environment. We also can conduct evaluations to gain better insight into the function of your child’s behavior and their daily living skills.

Direct Care

The field of behavior analysis has developed many techniques for increasing appropriate and functional behaviors and reducing behaviors that cause harm or interfere with learning.  Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the use of these techniques and principles to create meaningful and positive changes in behavior.  These changes may include increasing communication, social skills, or adaptive behavior, such as toileting, and decreasing disruptive behavior, such as tantrums and self-injurious, aggressive, or ritualistic behavior.  Your child

 
Supervision/Training

Training is available for schools, daycare settings, police, and other professional settings to gain insight and strategies in the management of behavior in their respective institutions. Supervision for BCBA and BCaB candidates as well as RBT’s.
